Where is Tarifa located?
Tarifa is located at the southernmost point of Spain between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean so basically where the sea meets the ocean, where the mountains tower over the virgin coastline of the Costa de la Luz.
Tarifa is an authentic Spanish fishing village with miles of fine, white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and an unspoilt hilly hinterland.
World-famous for its wind and kitesurfing, it is the ideal spot for combining a laid-back holiday with active sports or whale and dolphin watching, a day trip to Tangier in Morocco or a visit to the delightful, typical Spanish white villages nearby.
If you are wandering around in the small streets of the Old town you find all kinds of shops. At the local fish market you find the most amazing fresh fish caught by the local fisherman. The little shops offer a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables. And if you have a good look around you find an authentic barbershop hidden between the surf shops, which offer all the leading and local brands for (kite- and wind) surfing.
Tarifa is hip, the place to be, it sparkles and it surprises.
Every year we see more couples visiting this unique place to celebrate their wedding.
However, the Costa de la Luz boasts more special places. Other great locations for a wedding are, for example, the Roman ruins of Bolonia, Zahara de los Atunes, or in Vejer de la Frontera, one of the most attractive white villages in Spain. The bodegas and famous royal riding school in Jerez de la Frontera are places to be visited but also possible venues for your wedding in Andalusia.
